Ian Harris

Ian is a UK based Video-Artist and composer. 
His work moves between music for orchestra etc, the electro-acoustic arena and video. 

Ian completed a BA in Fine Art in 1990 (Gwent College) and an MA in Music in 2003 (Colchester Institute). 

Since 1990 his activities have included working for the Aldeburgh Festival as a Corporate Sponsorship Assistant, and the Wolsey Theatre as a Marketing/Box Office Assistant.

Exhibitions of Ian's music-related photographs include: the Royal Photographic Society Gallery, Bath and the Aldeburgh Festival.
  
Ian's music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, commissions and performances include: 'Meta-Flight' a work for clarinet, violin, cello & piano for the Greenbelt Festival, 
 
Ian also studied Composing for 
Film & Television at Goldsmiths College (London) prior to starting an MA in Music at Colchester Institute.

In 2003 Ian became an SPNM shortlisted composer with 'Cloud Garden' for vibraphone & strings, which was selected for inclusion on the 2003/2004 shortlist.
